Virtual Reality in Manufacturing Education: A Scoping Review Indicating State-of-the-Art, Benefits, and Challenges Across Domains, Levels, and Entities

Abstract

This is a scoping review on the use of virtual reality in manufacturing education. The paper surveys current applications of VR across different educational settings, levels, and stakeholder groups, and synthesizes the benefits, challenges, and research gaps in this area. Rather than proposing a single system, the work provides a broader perspective that can guide future research and development in VR-supported manufacturing education.
